Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum

Düsseldorf

Ready for an exciting underwater adventure? Then follow the evolution from the emergence of life in the water to the colonization of all habitats on land in one of the most visited leisure facilities in Düsseldorf. The interactive exhibition at the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum takes visitors on a popular-scientific journey through time that began more than 3.5 billion years ago.

Spread across 25 themed rooms, you can observe live animals in aquariums and terrariums designed in a natural way, as well as fascinating specimens and many hands-on experience stations. In an exciting and playful way, you can find out more about which animals live on our planet today - on land and in the water - and what their habitats look like. Biology lessons can also be fun.

But the Löbbecke Aquazoo also raises serious questions. For example, the "Sea and Man" exhibition focuses on the negative consequences of human activity on the world's oceans. After all, overfishing, littering and the uncontrolled emission of greenhouse gases are among the threats to the "blue element" from which everything once originated.
