Many people still know me from the old days. From the days when the high nobility travelled by coach and wore noble robes to visit their aristocratic relatives in Münsterland. That was once upon a time. Today, my guests usually wear shorts and travel by bike to stop off in the beer garden in the castle courtyard or to spend the night in one of the many historic buildings. It is not without reason that my most beautiful cycle route is also known as the "Queen of Cycle Routes". And the "Westphalian Versailles" is right on the edge of the route. So you can safely leave the car at home in the garage.
But if you're smart, you'll pack some provisions and a blanket before your cycle tour through Münsterland. Because I know the best picnic spots in the middle of beautiful parkland. Just close your eyes and take off your shoes. Can you feel the fresh grass under your feet? Does it tickle a little?
But I can also be completely different. Wild and exotic. As an animal lover, I offer a free-roaming herd of wild horses in the Hohe Mark Nature Park plenty of exercise and keep a watchful eye on the northernmost flamingo colony in Europe in the Zwillbrocker Venn. How do you get to them? Silly question: By bike, of course.
