The salvation of mankind, the triumph over evil and the eternal battle between the powers that be: The NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf puts legendary superheroes in the spotlight. In its new show, the museum at the Ehrenhof focuses on icons with flying capes and protectors with miraculous powers.
The comic exhibition presents 1000 exhibits from pop culture on 1200 square meters of exhibition space. There are historical comic books with protagonists such as Superman, Spiderman or Donald Duck's alter ego Phantomias as well as more recent examples with lesser-known saviors of humanity. They embody wishes, dreams and hopes and are a collective vision for the defense of democracy. The antagonists, adversaries and super villains also have a place in the exhibition. After all, what would good be without evil?
