Panarbora Nature Adventure Park

Waldbröl

Panarbora? What does that mean? The nature adventure park, which is located around 50 kilometers east of Cologne in Waldbröl, takes its name from the Latin word for tree "Arbor" and the word "Pan" - in Greek literature, he is the shepherd god, the god of the forest and nature.

The heart of the park is the 1,636-metre treetop walk. There are six learning and adventure stations where you can discover exciting and interesting facts about nature and the people of the Bergisches Land. At the end of the trail is a 34-metre-high observation tower - from here, visitors have a fantastic view of the natural landscape in the region.

Photography fans are sure to see the treetop walk with completely different eyes, as it opens up completely new perspectives. Not only is it a unique photo motif in its own right, but with its 34-metre-high viewing tower, it also promises a sweeping view of the region.

Exceptional accommodation options

If you want to immerse yourself in nature and culture with all your senses, you can spend the night in the trees or choose to spend the night in one of the three so-called global villages: Visitors can choose from a total of 170 accommodation options in Asian yurts, African mud huts or South American stilt houses. However, a membership card from the German Youth Hostel Association is required for this.

The star park in the Eifel National Park offers a breathtaking view of the night sky. The low lighting and sparse population minimise light pollution so that the Milky Way and the constellations of the solar system are clearly visible. Star tours, offered by Sternen Guides and the astronomy workshop ‘Stars without Borders’, allow visitors to experience the fascination of the starry night sky in the Eifel.
