Starting from the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park, a former steelworks and unique monument to industrial culture, the circular route leads along the Emscher Park cycle path along the old Emscher through the districts of Beeck and Beeckerwerth to the Rhine. The famous RheinRadWeg takes you upstream on the Rhine dyke to the harbor district of Ruhrort. The rest of the route is all about water. After a detour to the "Rheinorange" landmark at the mouth of the Ruhr into the Rhine, the circular route finally leads back to the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park via the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path and the Rhine-Herne Canal.
