The Lipperlandweg is a 58-kilometre long-distance hiking trail that leads from the historic Hanseatic town of Lemgo to the summit of the Köterberg, the highest elevation in the district of Lippe. The route combines cultural sights with varied natural landscapes and offers numerous impressive panoramic views. Highlights include Brake Castle in Lemgo, the Begaauen nature reserve, Wendlinghausen Castle, which was built in the early 17th century in the Weser Renaissance style, and the historic town center of Blomberg. The trail continues to Lake Schiedersee and finally ends on the Köterberg, from the summit of which you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Lippe region. The route is marked throughout with the "Lippische Rose" and is ideal for a three-day hike, during which you can experience the diversity of the region from different perspectives.
