Duisburg is located on both the Rhine and the Ruhr. Tours into the Ruhr region are possible from here: Industrial culture in Dortmund or Essen, for example, a trip to the German Football Museum or shopping in Europe's largest shopping centre. Everything is particularly close together here and the journey times are even shorter than in other regions.
