As a place where fine art, architecture and nature interact, the Museum Insel Hombroich is embedded in a 24-hectare park and meadow landscape.
Ten walk-in sculptural architectures, designed by the sculptor Erwin Heerich, present the collection of the Insel Hombroich Foundation. It creates an exciting dialog between ancient treasures from various cultures and works ranging from classical modernism to contemporary art.
Visual artists, musicians, writers and scientists from various nations live and work on the 13-hectare rocket station. The hangars, halls, earth walls and observation tower have been redesigned and supplemented with new buildings by Erwin Heerich, Per Kirkeby, Raimund Abraham, Alvaro Siza, Oliver Kruse and Katsuhito Nishikawa.
