The Ludwiggalerie Schloss Oberhausen is dedicating a comprehensive exhibition to the musician and artist Udo Lindenberg, which is both humorous and caricaturistic. The exhibition house uses its entire ensemble to present Lindenberg's extraordinary works and creativity.
In the Small Castle, the biography of the jack-of-all-trades is told through his musical career, from his beginnings as a drummer in NRW to his current success with "Komet". The show offers an insight into the "Udoversum" and shows how closely Lindenberg's art is connected to his music and his socio-political messages.
Lindenberg's works unfold their full effect in the Grosses Haus: his unmistakable works are characterized by the unique technique of "Likörelle". This means that they are created through the use of liqueurs in strong colors such as banana liqueur, cherry liqueur and Blue Curaçao. Guests can see how drawings, lettering, colors and collage elements work together.
