Combining art with nature: Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal

from 195.00 €
Wuppertal

Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal provides a unique opportunity to enjoy art while surrounded by nature. Here, the sculptor Tony Cragg has transformed an historical park into a magical exhibition space for outdoor sculptures. Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden has become an established and extremely popular attraction in North Rhine-Westphalia’s cultural landscape.

The spacious park is home to an extensive collection of sculptures by Tony Cragg and many other renowned contemporary artists, including Markus Lüpertz, Jaume Plensa, Richard Deacon, Eva Hild and Erwin Wurm. The permanent collection has new works by Thomas Virnich, Hede Bühl und Per Kirkeby. There are also top-class stand-alone exhibitions dedicated to important artists.

Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden compares extremely well to larger attractions of its type: this is a place where art and nature and history and the present combine in such a unique way that it can itself be described as an ensemble work of art. Whatever time of the year you visit, Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden promises an extraordinary experience.
