Issum Christmas market

On December 7, Mayor Clemens Brüx will officially welcome visitors and exhibitors to the Christmas market at 3 pm. Over 40 exhibitors will present their handcrafted, artistic and culinary offerings in the lovingly decorated wooden huts in the park in front of the former moated castle Haus Issum. While the market stalls close at 7 p.m., the caterers will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday, so that the day can come to a cozy end with mulled wine and Christmas music in the Rathauspark.

In addition to many exhibitors who have been represented at the Christmas market for years, there will also be some new stands to discover this time. Selected, high-quality arts and crafts and impressive handicrafts make up the special charm of this Christmas market in the atmospherically lit Rathauspark. The Christmas range includes candles, soaps, lamps, the finest table decorations, high-quality floristry, handmade wooden tree decorations, metal wind chimes, high-quality ceramics, beautiful jewelry, wooden toys and, not to forget, culinary delights such as chocolates, cookies, jams and juices from our own production. Once again this year, the huts can be found along the paths in the Rathauspark. Festively decorated and beautifully illuminated, they underline the special flair of the park. The large yurt of the scouts is a special eye-catcher. A large play area in the middle of the park with lots of fairytale play options ensures that even the younger visitors won't get bored.

Even St. Nicholas doesn't miss the Issum Christmas market and comes to the Rathauspark in person to delight visitors of all ages with a sweet treat and a raffle of Christmas trees.

Christmas scents

It smells of the aromas of Christmas - roasted almonds, mulled wine, hot chocolate, kale, pea soup, potato pancakes and crêpes. The Issum Christian Community offers delicious falafel, an oriental meatless dish made from a chickpea puree. The Rotary Club Geldern bakes delicious waffles. And, of course, fresh speculoos will also be baked at the Christmas market this year.
