The LWL Museum of Art and Culture is known far beyond the borders of Westphalia as a regional identity creator and has a special appeal.
The museum exhibits works from the Middle Ages to the contemporary avant-garde and allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of art. The extensive art education and cultural program also opens up new perspectives on art and cultural history for visitors. Here, the "magic of the original" can be experienced live and guests can gain an insight into 1000 years of art through various exhibits.
Information about the tour
The LWL Museum of Art and Culture offers an outstanding guided tour concept. On numerous dates, interested visitors can take part in public guided tours with different focuses. The guided tours are free of charge - only the entrance fee is payable. The number of participants is limited to 20 people. Tickets are available at the museum ticket office 30 minutes before the tour.
- Overview of the collection: Saturday and Sunday at 3.15 pm
- ArtStories: Every Tuesday at 3 p.m.
- Open studios: Every first Sunday of the month, 2.30 to 5.30 pm
- Epoch tour: Every Friday at 2.30 pm
- Curator guided tour: Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 2 to 2.30 pm
