Royal adventures, magical enchantments and entire regions of the Ruhr metropolis, all painstakingly created from thousands of colorful bricks, can be marveled at in the Legoland Discovery Centre in Oberhausen. Children aged 3 to 11 in particular, but of course all other Lego fans of any age, can not only marvel at all the things you can build from Lego bricks, but also learn how the colorful bricks are made in the Lego Factory Show. In the model building workshop, Lego experts reveal many secrets, tips and tricks about building with Lego to visitors.
On a 240 square meter interactive pirate island, children can go on a treasure hunt as buccaneers and conquer and capsize ships. A colorful Duplo jungle awaits the little ones, a knight's castle awaits the somewhat older Lego fans. In the new Lego City Builder play area, young and old architects can create their very own city.
The Lego replicas of landmarks from the Ruhr area, such as the Gasometer, Villa Hügel or the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, are built with attention to detail. There are new details to discover behind every tree and every bush. Visitors of all ages will get their money's worth on a tour of North Rhine-Westphalia's only Legoland Discovery Center. Those who have admired the miniature Ruhrpott enough can look forward to the 4D cinema with surprising special effects that make the movie experience even more real. And if that's not real enough for you, you can set off yourself to rescue the princess or become Merlin's best wizard student.
So that young visitors can take the experience home with them, they can pack up the Lego bricks they have produced themselves in the Lego factory and take them with them. In the immediate vicinity of the Legoland Discovery Center, many other attractions such as Sea Life or the Aqua Park on the Westfield Centro site also invite you to go on further excursions. And for tired and hungry Legoland visitors, the Westfield Centro promenade offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés and bars.
